hi, 
i also a lite bit far away from this function. if i remember right the biggest 
problems is, tempo changes during play
(ticksize changed in this moment) from other masters and the position offset 
adjustment (bbt offset)
e.g in song-loop or pattermode. also i remember that we get more problems here, 
after the
lead-lag function and lookahead code was implemented. but hey :-) do some work 
on it without rewriting the whole transport for the 0.9.4 rc is a good idea. 
imo, it's must possible to crate a well working relocate function together with 
the existing h2 transport and jack transport.  
also since months the jack api talk about enhanced transport function. i don't 
know if we
have to wait. today i read a little bit into the transport api and in the 
moment i am
unsure if they currently work on this. imo, there are new functions and options 
like e.g 
'JackTransportLoop      Loop boundaries' and so on.
