That's a good digest of all the input. I'm tending towards point (1). 
It's clear that the borders between those visions are very blurry.

I don't have a point against (2), it's just because i'm using hydrogen 
mostly as a drum-machine by myself. I'm  doing  a lot of 
"drum-sketching" with hydrogen,
not much live-sequencing and looping.  Of course (2) and the discussion 
about it brought up a lot of interesting topics, it would be dumb ignore 
all of them.
