Hello Hydrogen Dev-Team!
My name is Dennis and I live in Germany. I was looking for a solution to
trigger other samples for my edrums, because I hadn't got a good performance
on my Windows system with ezdrummer. Then I discovered Hydrogen on Linux.
The combination of my module and Hydrogen, is very powerful, especially on
linux. The latency is lower than on my Windows OS.
But Hydrogen hasn't got features like Aftertouch or Midi CC Messages. Could
it be possible, to implement this features for full edrum support?
I made a list of things you could implement:
- Aftertouch Messages for choking cymbals (BD could be "choked" too. If I
have a sample with a longer sustain, I could press the beater into the head
and it "chokes")
- Midi CC Messages support for Positional Sensing (Roland feature, if I hit
my snare on the edge, I get an higher pitched sound, like on a real snare)
- Midi CC Messages for Hihat (for more levels)
- More layers(32, 64 or something) and alternating samples for more
realistic playing.
It would be awesome if you implement these things!!! Thank you very much.
