Dear All,

I just want to remind that until there are some answers to my questions, I am not able to contribute... :(
To summarize:
1) Exactly what file format should I send you? A .h2pattern or a .h2song ? What about the info that you also requested? Author license etc? Where can these be inserted?
It is best to know from now, than to change the format half-way through.
2) How do you think is best to encode patterns that need 2 bars, like a bossa-nova? Should I keep the time at 4/4 and create a song that spans 2 patters long, or should I make one pattern that is in 8/4 ? 3) What about this GM-compliant issue? I intended to write all my patterns in the default drumset that opens up, without any change. This should be completely fine, since this is installed along with Hydrogen. Correct? I think this solves the GM-compliant issue. By the way let me say that I've never come across any drum kit/machine/anything that wasn't GM-compliant. I really don't see how this is an issue...

In any case, after I get some answers, you will get some really good quality patterns!

P.S.: Sorry for writing this in this email chain, but is it possible to load Hydrogen into Cubase, like a VSTi? If not, are there any plans for this implementation, or at least some interface between them? Right now I just export midi and load them into cubase for my studies, but having something like an interface would be faster :D

Best,
George

    Hello,

I just found out about Hydrogen and I love it. It is great and the
perfect replace for a metronome for a drummer.

I am a semi-professional drummer with more than 10 years of
experience an pretty much all music styles.

I want to contribute to: 7) Share your drum patterns

I want to give you numerous well known patterns that you can have
    in your program's library.
These patterns include but are not limited to: Bossa-Nova,
    Half-time Shuffle, Swing
    and much much more.
