I made a quick loop through NC/NE Iowa today in search of migrants and found a 
nice assortment of birds including these highlights:

a family group of Gray Partridge in w Mitchell Co.
1 juv. Red-necked Phalarope at Cedar L., Nashua
1 Olive-sided Flycatcher (my first of the year)
3 Yellow-bellied Flycatchers
1 Philadelphia Vireo at Beeds Lake SP
1 Red-breasted Nuthatch at Lylah's M.
1 Veery at Howard Woods, Chickasaw Co.
14 species of warblers inc. 8 Chestnut-sided, 5 Blackburnian, 1 BT Green, 1 
Mourning, and 2 Canada
4 Scarlet Tanagers
