I spent some time this morning working a few BBA blocks in Franklin, Wright, 
and Webster counties. Shorebird numbers were disappointing, but I did see quite 
a few apparent migrant waterfowl. Here are the highlights:

1 Virginia Rail, 2 Soras, and 7 species of shorebirds in Franklin Co.

In Humboldt Co. on sheetwater:

1 Wood Duck
112 Mallard
360 Blue-winged Teal
31 Northern Shovelers plus a brood of 6 large young
3 Green-winged Teal
3 Pied-billed Grebe
2 Great Egrets
2 American Coot
2 Semipalmated Plover
141 Killdeer
3 Solitary Sandpiper
4 Spotted Sandpiper
3 Greater Yellowlegs
68 Lesser Yellowlegs
7 Semipalmated Sandpiper
10 Least Sandpiper
1 Baird's Sandpiper
132 Pectoral Sandpiper
18 Stilt Sandpiper
1 Wilson's Phalarope
2 Marsh Wren

Also:

A pair of Gray Partridge with 6 young e of Dakota City
1 Black-billed Cuckoo tending young in an undiscovered nest at Brushy Creek
