Paul Egeland and I birded pool 8 after work today after work and located 5 Sharp-tailed Sparrows in the pool 8 area of the Sedan map. This is the first we have seen them this fall. We had no Le Conte's but this area has been good for both species for years. Area 8 and area 7 are both private marshes that we have permission to bird when there are no duck hunters present! Area 4 (public area) has been are best area for Sharp-tails but duck hunters were present tonight. A Ross's goose is hanging out with Canada's at the Centerville reservoir.
