While killing garlic mustard along the creek at Chipera
prairie this morning, Oct. 15, the following birds were
noted: 1 sharp-shinned hawk, 1 red-tailed hawk, 1 American
kestrel, 2 woodcock, 1 sedge wren, 5 ruby-crowned kinglets,
40 eastern bluebirds, 2 hermit thrush, 1 orange-crowned
warbler, 2 American tree sparrows, 10 fox sparrows, 1
white-crowned sparrow, & 3 white-throated sparrows.
