This morning I scoped a pair of imm./female BLACK SCOTERS among
diving ducks at the Hawkeye Wildlife Area. They were near the refuge
and I was along Hwy. 965 (bridge area) with good morning light. Later,
viewing gets difficult from that spot when the birds are backlit.
