There is still some open water at Lake Sugema in Van Buren County and lots of Canada Geese, some mallards, two Common Goldeneye and a few more diving ducks(I didn't have my scope with me) were present, but most notably, I also observed 4 Trumpeter Swans there.
A mature Bald Eagle was seen soaring over the Des Moines River at Keosauqua and one was also seen just east of Bentonsport.
