I live in Windsor Heights on a dead end street. Just as I turned the corner of my street, I saw a large bird swoop down a bit (but not all the way to the ground) and then fly back up to land in a pine tree. We have several resident Red Tailed Hawks in the neighborhood, but at a very quick glance, it didn't look like one of them (I didn't see any brown). Larger head, white underside. Large wing span, probably at least 3-4 feet. Any ideas of what it might've been? I will keep my eyes out for it. Hope to spot it again. Wish I had had my binoculars with me. By the time I raced to my house and came back, it had flown away. This happened at about 5:20 p.m. - not dark, but definitely dusk.
