At Cone Marsh (Louisa County) Sunday morning, James Huntington and I found 21
species of waterfowl, including:

--17 Trumpeter Swans
--approx. 10,000 Greater White-fronted Geese -- the most I've ever seen there
--all 5 of the regular Geese species, with Ross's being as numerous as the
Snows.
--6 Black Ducks

Also:
--2 Sandhill Cranes
--Rusty Blackbirds along Atwood just NE of Cone Marsh

Viewing conditions were excellent, with little wind and little heat shimmer. A
perfect day for Cone Marsh birding!
