As I have written previously, I have had pine siskins all winter and continue
to have several. Today I am seeing a behavior and coloration I have not
previously noted. We have monitered Bluebird trails for several years and am
fairly familiar with baby birds.

These siskins are coming to my front yard feeders so are easy to see if you
park in front of the house. What I believe to be a baby Pine Siskin is
"YELLOW" in places and to a degree I have not seen in the males and females
that come regularly. I mean bright and multiple yellow coloration and is being
fed by an adult and yet obviously a siskin. It also appears to have "baby"
feathers.

I do not have a great camera so taking a photo would be inconclusive (too far
away from window).

I also have a pair of Rose-breasted Grosbeaks and a couple of other males among
my varied collection of yard birds.

Anyone interested in checking it and and maybe getting a good photo you are
welcome.
