Interesting birds seen today in Des Moines and Lee Counties of SE Iowa included:

Brown thrasher (1) - north of Burlington coming to a feeder
Winter wren (1) - Cascade Ravine in Burlington in a usual winter roost spot for 
this species
Golden-crowned kinglet (2) - Crapo Park in Burlington
Eurasian tree sparrow (lots) - various locations in both counties
Eurasian collared dove (12) - SW of Ft. Madison near a dairy farm
White-winged scoter (1) - Mississippi River between Montrose and Keokuk
Long-tailed duck (1) - Mississippi River between Montrose and Keokuk
American black duck (1) - Mississippi River between Montrose and Keokuk

71 total species for the day.
