I was at the Creighton University Retreat Center just West of Griswold today. I spent a few minutes watching the birds at and near the feeders behind the dining hall. I saw three Red-Headed Woodpeckers. One was completely bald; another had lost the feathers in a large circle around it's eyes.
Other birds seen were: White-breasted nuthatches Chickadees American Goldfinches Downy Woodpecker House Sparrows. Lorinda Hoover Rockwell City (Calhoun County) Lorinda H. M.
