We watched a snowy for 45 minutes near the intersection of 240th St. and 240th Ave. SE of Milford just before dusk today. It perched on a snow-covered hummock, then later flew to a fence post, and finally landed on a utility pole on 235th St. It was heavily-barred, so we are wondering if it is a first-year female. We kept our distance, as this particular snowy is a bit wary.
