Living where we do on an edge line with deep oak/hickory woods on 3
sides and CRP on the 4th, the titmouse is a common visitor and we
would find it unusual NOT to have them around. Your posts, Ty, Beth
and Linda remind me of just how lucky we are to be living where we do.
That, and the dozen or so white tail that wander through our
'backyard'. Now if I could just get a snowy to show up close.
Location, Location, Location. or should I say, Habitat, Habitat,
Habitat.

We also sometimes go years without a titmouse. This winter there have been
two irregular visitors. Put up a blog post about one this morning.

Subject: [ia-bird] Urbandale Titmouse
_______________________________________________________________________________________
Finally..! All fall and winter I've been looking for something unusual at
our Urbandale bird feeder. Last year it was the Fox Sparrow, and the year
before, it was the Pine Siskins.
Finally...just this morning, we had our first Titmouse in more than 10 years
at our hanging feeder!
It was like welcoming back an old friend...
