Titmice are far and few between at our house along the Walnut Creek Greenbelt in Clive. We saw one 1/2 dozen or so times in the early 1990s, but since April 1998, one was here in 2001 and one in October 2010.
We have very few oak trees in the greenbelt and the closest ones are about a block away. This year for the first time in several years, we don't have Carolina Wrens singing and showing up on the deck.
