Over the weekend, shorebirding conditions at Jester were greatly improved
compared to the previous month or so, especially off Jester.  I observed 16
species with the highlights being 12 American Avocets on Oak Grove beach and,
at Jester, a juvenile Western Sandpiper, a Buff-breasted Sandpiper, and 3
Red-necked Phalaropes.  Other noteworthy birds were 15+ Black Terns, 50+
Forster's Terns, and a Blue-winged Warbler.
