Call for Papers
35th IAGI Annual Convention and Exhibition
Pekanbaru, Riau 21 – 22 November 2006
In 2006, for the first time ever, IAGI will conduct Annual Convention and
Exhibition outside Java. This year Annual Convention and Exhibition will be
held in Pekanbaru, Riau, just above the Central Sumatra Basin. The success
of this convention will prove that other places outside Java have the same
fascination with Java’s. Do not miss this opportunity to present your
latest techniques, research results and case histories at what promises to
be the first successful and well attended IAGI Annual Convention outside
Java.
The theme of the convention, "Sustainable Development of Nature’s Bounty,"
forms the foundation of the technical program. Nature’s Bounty from natural
resources such as hydrocarbon, ground water and minerals to the natural
hazard and disaster are being the highlight of the convention.
IAGI Pekanbaru 2006 Chairman and his committee officially invite you to
submit your abstracts for oral and poster presentation at the upcoming IAGI
Annual Convention and Exhibition. High-quality contributions from all
geological and related disciplines are welcome.
Abstract Format
The wide range of technical categories offered in this Convention is surely
attracting the interest from geoscience professionals and students. We
encourage you to submit your abstract as soon as possible before the
deadline in 26 May 2006. Abstract must be relevant to the Technical
Categories and contain of maximum 300 words with NO figure. Format can be
obtained from : http://www.iagi.or.id
Upon acceptance, an expanded abstract of 3 – 4 pages (including figures)
will be requested for inclusion in the Proceedings. Full paper of 10 – 12
pages including figure is also welcomed.

Technical Program Committee encourages students from geoscience and related
disciplines to submit abstracts from their Final Projects, Thesis, and
Internship. Abstract must be submitted to the committee in similar format
and deadline. Please indicate Oral/Poster Presentation on your abstract and
mark with “Student Paper”.
