We address the fundamentals of CBM, the steps associated with appraisal and development of CBM assets as well as the markedly different required for CBM development when compared with conventional oil and gas fields. BIOGRAPHY: Laurent Alessio is a managing partner of LEAP Energy, an independent Subsurface Consulting and Technology services group headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with operations throughout the Asia-Pacific region. He has a wide industry experience in conventional and unconventional hydrocarbon recovery, through a wide range of consulting assignments, previous roles as petroleum engineer, subsurface manager and development manager with Shell and joint operating companies in the Netherlands, UK and Malaysia. Laurent holds an engineering degree from Ecole Centrale de Lyon and Imperial College London.
