Is there any documentation on the format of a file
created by the logical dataset copy of vsam files?
We would like to extract the VSAM attributes directly
from the logical backup.
Is this possible?
Any pointers, hints, clues or any thoughts at all
would be appreciated.
The context is that we have our data on these logical
backups, but our DRP site does not have DFSMS
liscensed. We would like to avoid the liscensing
costs. We are considering alternate backup approaches
as well, but would like to explore this possibility as
well.
