Correct, it solves the problem immediately, but does not explain how it
occurs and will not guarantee that it will not occur again. I did not
mean to infer that the problem was solved. It is a temp fix though that
allows us to continue on. (and hope/pray) We have IBM, EMC, DTS, FDR,
and other vendors involved.

If the problem is a recurring one, that is not "solving" the problem
but rather recovering from the problem.  "Solving" the problem would
involve locating and fixing the culprit.

"Problems that go away by themselves come back by themselves."
