IBM-MAIN certainly provides lots of opinions on how to get things done - some right, some wrong, some overly complex, some exceedingly simple. The point I was making is that IBM does not "ignore" how-to-do questions, but there's a specific queue designed to open PMRs and address those questions. The people supporting it are good and they know the answers to a lot of the things that are asked on IBM-MAIN. They WILL point you to the right manual, and they WILL help you understand what it says. They can give you solutions that meet your needs - without all the opinions, sniping, and arguments.
