Everyone else has had their say, why not me ... I size the PLPA to not spill. Yes I oversize it, but as Ron is fond of pointing, what's the cost of a few extra cylinders ???. I pamper ASM - page-only volumes, good pathing, separate ranks. You name it, ASM gets it.
But as far as PLPA is concerned, I tend to get *REAL* interested if the PLPA paging rate was in any way above zero. I'd be more than happy to waste the space on PLPA, and never have it used after IPL.
