I'd like to know what are the duties of CE.
Any comments, including off-list are welcome.
I mean new equipment installation (obviously under warranty), and
equipment under maintenance contract.
Sample questions:
Q1. 3494 Library installation. According to manual IP address for remote
access is set by CE. Does your CE configure this address ?
Q2. 3494 installation report. Do you get any written information from
CE, i.e. Library ID or other ?
Q3. Microcode updates. Do your CE update microcode as they are released,
or it is never installed, or this is extra-paid option ?
Q4. Microcode for Shark 800 Turbo2. AFAIK there is an update which
allows emulation of 'mod-54' volumes as it is on DS8000. Is it paid
feature or just micrcode, which can be installed by CE ?
Q5. Do any general rules exist in written form ?
Any help will be appreciated.
