I meant Linux running in a z/OS 1.9 address space. I thought you could do that but am now unsure. So far I have not located documentation on that. However I do find, in SAP on DB2 9 for z/OS: Implementing Application Servers on Linux for System z March 2009 International Technical Support Organization SG24-6847-01 on document page 15 (ADOBE 32/182) a picture showing a single CEC with z/OS, Linux, and z/VM all running in LPARS and multiple Linux instances running under the z/VM. I may be misinterpreting the picture as only the Linux square is labeled LPAR. I would not be the one doing this. I am not a SYSPROG - Linux, z/OS, or otherwise. I ran across a wild idea and put out a feeler. If someone knows of such a thing being done then I will see if my management might be interested. At least I now know how to spell it. :-) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
