Customers have a strong interest in doing business with vendors that can continue to (or even increase) research, development, and other product investments. That's true of many types of products, especially capital equipment like airliners and servers. Customers want and need products that offer increasing business value. For example, if it's an airliner, it should offer more fuel efficiency, more reliability, easier training, better passenger comfort, I take it you don't fly coach much. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
