One thing to remember is that you can't change the storage class of migrated datasets with alter. It should be possible to re-assign these on recall using the storage class ACS routine.

I didn't know that IDCAMS could be used to change the storage class, so that helps. I too would like to do both the storage class and storage groups at the same time. But will be happy just getting them done even if it must be done separately.
