Hello list,

Is there any way to force a job to swap out, even if the computer has
lots of spare CPU cycles? I think the answer is "no", but thought it
was worth asking.

We are having major slowdown problems trying to run disk-based cloning
of Oracle databases on a DMX-4 that is being shared with the mainframe.
Even though the background clone is running at low priority in the DMX,
jobs and tasks running on the "Z" are running at a snail's pace and I
was hoping to suspend one of the batch jobs running in an attempt to
speed up the rest of the batch work.

Thanks.

Rex
