We use DFDSS. Products could be deliveded via it, as far as I am concerned. Most here might like the CBT Tape format of a zip'ed set of XMIT'ed datasets. Many have said that they like that, back when I asked about alternatives. It is rather simple and easy. Another possibility is to use CA's method, which uses SMP/E's GIMUNZIP and compressed PAX archives. There was a fair amount of resistance to the idea of this back when I asked about using it in preference to XMIT. I'm still a bit at a loss as to why. Oh, and IBM issued some sort of security thingie about SMP/E that I never understood. So, I would vote for zip'ed XMIT files. Maybe with some sort of desktop application (Windows, Linux and Mac please!) which would help with the upload. CompuWare does this rather well with their products. -- John McKown Maranatha! <>< ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
