FDR client?  FDReport variable DSNALCNT.

[snip]
TITLE       LINE='<RUNDATE> <RUNTIME>: +
            Datasets having aliases defined'
REPORT      FIELD=(DSNALIAS,
            NAME,DSSN,DSNALCNT,RELALCNT)
XSELECT     DSNALCNT.GT.0
SORT        FIELD=(INDEX,DSN),    order by ...
            BREAK=(YES,NO)        sub-totals?
SUMMARY     FIELD=(DSN,BYTES,BYTESUSE)
[snip]

Runs daily here to generate EXCLUDE DSN= cards for *all* my FDR
utilities specifically FdrCopy MOVE TYPE=DSF and FdrAbr DUMP TYPE=ARC
that will both trash the aliases when the base dataset is manipulated.
