A colleague and I were talking as we feel the powers to be are looking at "options other than the mainframe". The talk went to dollars and cents I stated the price of a z box has dropped big(for our size shop) but the cost of purchasing dasd is still high along with maint. His question was why can't mvs use scsi or san dasd, VSE and VM can. We looked around the web could find nothing on it. Thoughts?? thanks Mace
