I probably could have added a little more info...

The rules are the same, for having multiple active sysplex's active in
the same CPC or complex of CPC's whether the name is the same or not.
There is nothing magical from a technical perspective about a sysplex
name as it is just an identifier. Biggest problem is the human factor.
As mentioned, conveying which system or plex is having a problem, etc is
the biggest hurdle.

Yep, it's possible, even in parallel sysplex. Key is NOTHING is
shared, nor can it be legally. Don't want to run that way forever, as
it gets confusing.

Subject: SYSPLEX names in a CPC

Hello,

Does anyone have any idea where I might find documentation that will
tell me whether it is possible to have multiple sysplexes in a CPC share
the same sysplex name?

Thanks

Steve
