> Jim Mulder z/OS System Test IBM Corp. Poughkeepsie, NY > <un-snip> This is an area where z/OS really does out-shine all the rest. Both Windows and Unix platforms have the ability to generate SVC type dumps. On unix it is a core file on Windows it is called a mini-dump. However, the system and applications staff on Windows and Unix typically do not know how to read a 'dump' and typically attempt to recreate the problem on a test system. The staff are just not used to thinking at that level and do not have the practical experience at that level either.
