No...but we are just about to flip the switch to share an STK SL8500 silo
between z/OS and Solaris (their only tape application is NetBackup).  We
will use completely separate tape drives and media between the platforms,
but the mainframe will control the silo.  Solaris will access it via
LibStation running under z/OS.

Are you going to share tapes between z/OS and Intel???  Sounds a little
scary to me.
