Part of the problem may be that the IODF name used by HCD is not the cluster
name but the data component name. I expect this is due to the fact that NUC
routines must read the IODF before catalog services are available and the data
component is what is in the VTOC/VVDS and HCD was designed to be consistent.

As a result, when using any of the mentioned techniques other than HCD 6, you
must remember to apply the technique to the cluster and not the IODF name you
see in HCD. In my experience, the cluster name has always been IODF name plus
a low level qualifier of .CLUSTER but you can always verify this with LISTCAT.

Thanks every one, we tried just about everything yesterday and really
nothing worked.

I tried what many of you suggested about midnight yesterday and it worked.

Could anyone have has some sort of access to these datasets which were
preventing the deletion?

Anyway it's gone and again I thank you all.
