the pregen'ed IODF? I am tasked to make our D.R. "dead simple". I must
assume an absolute minimal amount of knowledge on the part of the actual
restoration personnel. Updating a batch job is much simplier than
documenting, step by step in detail, how to use the HCD panels. I
already have step-by-step for the ISMF panels. And it is very tedious to
maintain that documention as the ISMF/HCD panels change.

I took the IOCP from the DR and imported into HCD and made it something like
IODF88. It lives on the MCAT volume also made a copy and put it on the
ONEPAK system. For verification made a standalone
ICKDSF tape and copied the ONEPAK system to 3490 tape. So to test
IPL ICKDSF off of tape and load the ONEPAK system. Also made a LOAD88 member
in PARMLIBs. To IPL specify Load address and four digit UCB of IPL device
and 88. If load address is 800 specify 080088 for parm. Using this we're able
to
test ONEPAK and just do the basics of verfying IODF and displays of
DASD,Tape and whatever you've contracted for at your DR provider. HTH....
