Hum, that is actually a fairly good idea. Now, to see if our Production Control people can implement it. The reason that I say that is that each support group's jobs start with a specific prefix. So Prod Control looks at the first 4 characters of the job which "failed" and call that group. I don't think that they actually refer to any external documentation on the job to determine who to call. So the apps person would get called, look at the job, see that it was the ftp step, then ask that the "ftp team" be called instead. The apps people would like to avoid being woken up just to determine "not my problem."
