I have verified that we have StorageTek 9840 drives. You have all given me an answer that my boss can now work with. I will pass on the information. Thanks to all who have responded. I have great good fun >> You're doing fine. In the IBM world of hardware delivery there's a formal process review of new hardware called SAPR(System Assurance Product Review). It's usually presented by the ISV and covers features ordered and installed and HCD changes, power requirements,A/C or BTUs, modems for phone home, PTF's or software levels required to support and that the service agreement will be supported by trained personnel. Usually it's pretty cut and dried and everybody signs off knowing who has to do what and by when. IIRC you can order the 9840 with a C18 rack for IBM 3590's. So it's real important to know how it's configured down to popping the top and looking at a cartridge or two. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
