I think we're just going to disagree on this one.  It sounds to me that
you expect infalable SMP users.

I've used SMP since SMP3 in the mid '70s, but not often enough to become
expert by anybody's standard.  I've shot myself in the foot only a few (3
or 4) times but they were doozies.  One was due to an incorrectly built
SYSMOD; the others were due to my own stupidity and/or carelessness.
Luckily the experts were willing to brainstorm with me until we came up
with solutions.

I definitely felt it was my responsibility to clean up my mess, but I also
felt it was my responsibility to not make things worse, and that required
help.
