Maybe I went overboard.
But, my point has been since I was first introduced to UNIX in 1976, that a lot 
of UNIX is not intuitive.

cat -- list
grep -- get regular expression and print
ls -- directory list
vi -- edit

And, we really should compare interactive to interactive.
JCL was a bad choice on my part.

BTW, a better practice would be/is to make the programme/command dynamically 
allocate files, which is what I do in REXX with varying amounts of control for 
the user.
