All I can think of is that it has facilities to rename according to pattern in MGET and MPUT. Or might it preserve the ISPF directory statistics?
Actually, I can think of one more thing: a facility to spoof the protol for transferring load modules so it might do store-and- forward from mainframe to PC to mainframe. It was myopic design for z/OS load module FTP not to account for the need for store- and-forward. TSO TRANSMIT is not a solution because: o It requires a TSO account on both mainframes. o It isn't automated by the FTP server. -- gil -- StorageTek INFORMATION made POWERFUL ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
