Bod said --> To the best of my knowledge, you cannot add volumes in batch. At least when I was doing this all the time, you couldn't. As to the 2GB TSO max region size, that is overkill. Are you using "ranges" for the DEFINE? If so, then I would contact IBM service on the issue.
Does defining a lesser number, say 128, cause the same problems? If not, break it apart into two defines. They do not take that long. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bob: We are using range for the define and this abend produces it with fifteen volumes or less. There isn's a problem of volumes amount (I believe). You are in reason when you said that the 2 gb TSO region size is overkill, but at the moment it's the only way to do it, and the storage people do it few times (one for week). At least we aren't in problem with the userid tso max region size, but we cant't stand this situation in the future. We'll wait a days if nobody said us a answer we'll open a incident with IBM.
