All I need to make a change to our EDT to change the dev address that gets allocated when I specify unit=TAPEBV Currently address 19D gets allocated. I created a new IODF to allocate dev address 199 when unit=TAPEBV is specified. I have not changed it dynamically yet, but when I do is it considered a software change only or both hardware and software. I realize I have to change my load parms at IPL time Will I have to create a new IOCDS and do a POR, I don't want to loose the change on subsequent IPL's. TIA
