I recently became aware of the "IBM Education Assistant", which provides
online education on various topics. The z/OS topics are at
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/ieduasst/stgv1r0/index.jsp
There are "courses" on a lot of basic z/OS topics, such as concepts,
networking, application programming, etc. Most are just documents that
you read but there are interactive courses on JCL and ISPF.
Sounds like IBM is trying to provide some tools to bring new techies
"into the z/OS fold".
