Hey, I'm 23 and an Assembler geek in the mainframe programming world. I don't even want to count the years til I retire :-). And yes, there is a growing resurgence of interest in mainframes, albeit it's a s l o w one. I am the PM of the zNextGen project at SHARE and we have over 125 members (newbies and mentors) who have joined us for community, networking and educational purposes. Slowly but surely I guess they say.
