I am saddened to read that NIU has lost its mainframe and wonder what
the folks from there are doing.  I guess Robert Rannie has retired.

In one sense this speaks louder to the decline of the mainframe than
many other things.  Despite lip service, I see IBM not wanting them in
many of its areas including the Maritimes in Canada.
