What is the earliest z/OS level that will tolerate
ETCRE (Entry Table Create) that has the extended
addressing mode (ETDEAM) bit set?
It is often possible to answer questions like that by browsing the related macros in MACLIB and MODGEN. They almost always have a change history.

In macro IHAETD, the change history includes
$P1=PYN0828 HBB7708 021224 PD00XB: ETDEAM so the parm was introduced in HBB7708 (z/OS 1/5) in 2002
