Who??? Even the "baby z" is a monster! According to the System z9

No, no I was thinking of the single frame z/890. The masters power lifters can do(exceed) that in the three categories. Squat, deadlift and bench press.

Gentlemen,
What are we talking about ???
Is mainframe more secure because it is heavy ???

What about PC ballasted with some lead slabs, or simply welded to building construction ?

Isn't it senseless to discuss mainframe heavy weight as platform advantage ?
Even PC can be connected to heavy DASD box, and z/OS can be run on notebook (FlexES or Hercules).

I always thought that mainframe is more secure because of z/OS good design, RACF existence and proper administration done by wise guys.

The only "physical" aspect of mainframe security is lack of USB ports. It is much easier to carry out 540.000 records on USB in your pocket (or even *ss) than record data on mainframe-attached tape. However nowadays almost everybody accesses mainframe through terminal emulator on ...PC, which is equipped with USB port.
